about annabel
From a young age, I was always taught to collect moments not things!
This blog is a collection of travel moments, experiences, tips and tricks – essentially my comprehensive view of the world out of a tiny aeroplane window.
Born and raised in Australia I always lusted the culturally diverse, historically built, fast food wonderland that is the Northern Hemisphere. After my first international trip to Hawaii at age 7 I was bitten by the travel bug.
My middle school years consisted of pleading to my parents as to why a holiday was more important than bills and responsibilities. Finally, in 2012 they gave in!
Six weeks exploring Europe’s architecture, museums, beaches and most importantly coffee + (gelato) culture – convinced the naive seventh grader that I was, that the traditional mould of school – college – career was not for me.
My following formative years comprised of planning exotic escapes to destinations I could never dreamed of seeing. Dreaming of faraway places and taking part of every study tour my school would whisk me away too.
As for now I am exploring all that south-east Queensland has to offer while studying a Bachelor of Journalism at Bond University in the hope that freelance travel blogging will one day be my bread and butter.
